Lyla Wescoat (2027) was dominant in the circle, as the pitcher rang up 14 strikeouts in Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles’s 13-3 victory over Elkton Varsity Golden Elks on Tuesday. Wescoat (2027) gave up three hits and zero runs over five and two-thirds innings while walking one.
Temperance Fitzimmons (2025) collected four hits in four at bats in the win. Fitzimmons (2025) doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the third inning.
Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Fitzimmons (2025) singled, scoring one run, Camille Mattucci (2026) singled, scoring two runs, Ava Guerrieri (2026) grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Elizabeth Marcum (2027) doubled, scoring one run.
Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles added one run in the second. Wescoat (2027) doubled to center field, making the score 7-0.
Emma Sprouse took the loss for Elkton Varsity Golden Elks. The starting pitcher went five innings, surrendering nine runs (four earned) on 11 hits, striking out two and walking one. Kailey McGuire (2028) appeared in relief for Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles.
Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles collected 13 hits in the game. Kylee Bergman (Salisbury) and Marcum (2027) each collected multiple hits for Bohemia Manor Varsity Eagles. Gwen Ayers (’26) McDaniel stole two bases.
