Yadiel Berrios accepted to the Peabody Conservatory
HUGE congratulations to Elkton High School senior Yadiel Berrios!
Yadiel has officially been accepted to the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University for a double major in Tuba Performance and Music Education — and he earned an incredible $43,000 grant to support the program!
If you’ve seen (or heard!) Yadiel lately, you already know the talent is real. This weekend he was powering the low end with the Elkton Town Band on tuba, and just two weeks ago he was shining again as a vocalist in the Elkton High School Winter Concert.
And the stage? He’s owned it — with standout performances in The Addams Family (2024) and last year’s Mamma Mia. Next up: catch Yadiel back under the lights when Elkton High School presents Les Misérables, Feb. 12–14, 2026!
