Berrios Rivera Signs with Mansfield University

NORTH EAST – Cecil College men’s basketball forward Darrien Berrios Rivera has signed his National Letter of Intent to compete at NCAA Division II Mansfield University next season.

Mansfield is a member of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. The Mountaineers’ men’s basketball program finished last season with their best record since its 2016-17 campaign. 

Berrios Rivera broke out during his second season with the Seahawks. The Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native finished with a team high 49 three-pointers made. Berrios Rivera slotted second on the Seahawks with 11.0 points per game, while shooting 51% from the field and 37.1% from three. He chipped in at least 10 points on 14 occasions, including two additional 20-point showings.
