North East Indians Lose To Caravel

North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025 could not keep pace with Caravel 7-2 on Wednesday.

North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025 got on the board in the top of the second inning after Jahnel Ledford doubled to center field, and Haylee Carpenter grounded out, each scoring one run.

Peyton Rice singled down the right field line, which helped Caravel tie the game at two in the bottom of the fourth.

Caravel flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 7-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Abigail Russell following a 10-pitch at-bat that drove in three.

Jazmyn Martin started the game for North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025. The right-handed pitcher surrendered 12 hits and seven runs over six innings, striking out four and walking two.

Ariana Caudill and Carli Minear each collected two hits for North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025. Ledford and Carpenter each drove in one run for North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025. North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025 were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Haven Anton had the most chances in the field with seven.

Caravel collected 12 hits in the game. Russell provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Caravel with three runs batted in. The number three hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Leah Richardson and Russell each collected three hits for Caravel. Zayda Rocke and Katie Pinand each collected multiple hits for Caravel. Richardson and Russell each stole multiple bases for Caravel. Caravel ran wild on the base paths, collecting five stolen bases for the game. Caravel were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Makenzie Hunter had the most chances in the field with eight.

North East Indians Varsity Softball 2025 will travel to Elkton for their next game on Tuesday.
