We are just weeks away from the start of the 2023 Cecil Wolfpack Season! The Pack has been busy during the off season with fundraising, including Salute to Cecil County Veterans held at the North East Community Park and hosting an open combine, which is an annual free event held every year by the program. It was a great day where participants had an opportunity to come out and meet Wolfpack coaches, learn cheers and football concepts, meet new and returning teammates and run some football drills.
The Wolfpack Home Stadium is the Calvert Field in Rising Sun, just past the Cecil Arena. There will be a handful of away games, as we are a travel recreation program. Majority of the games occur on Saturdays, with the possibility of a few Friday night games as well. Pack Cheer Family: Make sure you register by 7/20/2023 for the upcoming Cheer Season!!
The Pack coaching staff is dynamic and works well together. They strive to give their best to all players and athletes involved in their program. This upcoming season the Pack will have a mix of new and returning football and cheer coaches, with many having 10+ years in coaching, including sideline cheer, all-star cheer, gymnastics and tumbling backgrounds.
Cheer will practice 4 times a week during Camp, which runs July 31st through August 18th, Monday through Thursday from 6-8pm. Camp gives coaches a chance to meet and get to know the team, assess everyone’s strengths and weaknesses, start teaching the fundamentals of cheer, facials, hand placements, etc. We will also incorporate some fun and friendly competition at the end of each week with all the squads. Then when our regular practice season starts the week of August 21st, we practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6-8pm.

The Wolfpack Cheer Squad wants to ensure all uniform pieces arrive in time for the first game weekend at the end of August. Uniform fittings are tentatively scheduled for July 15th but once we have confirmation, an update will follow. Cheer and Football include customized uniforms your kid will get to keep. Football has both Home/Away uniforms.
The Pack can’t wait to see everyone for our first day of camp, Monday, July 31st. Keep an eye out for updates as we get closer to the start of our season and don’t forget the Multiple Kids Discount being offered as well through Cecil County Parks and Rec.
