Bohemia Manor stayed in it until the end, but the Tri-State Christian Academy Crusaders pulled away late in a 6-5 victory on Thursday at Tri-State Christian Academy. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the sixth when Jake Bannon drew a walk, scoring one run.
Tri-State Christian Academy got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Josh Garber doubled down the left field line, and Garber stole home, each scoring one run.
Bohemia Manor made the score 3-2 in the top of the second after CJ Ball singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Tri-State took the lead in the bottom of the third. Garret Bachman singled, scoring two runs, to give Tri-State Christian Varsity Crusader the advantage, 4-3.
Bohemia Manor tied the game in the top of the sixth thanks to a single by Chris Harris, and an error.
Bachman earned the win for the Crusaders. The reliever allowed one hit and zero runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking none. Evan Wilson took the loss for Bohemia Manor. The southpaw went one-third of an inning, allowing one run on one hit, striking out one and walking three. Ball began the game for Bohemia Manor. The right-handed pitcher gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out seven and walking three. Will Davis began the game for Tri-State. The right-handed pitcher allowed two hits and five runs (three earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking seven.
Ball, Evan Wood, and Harris each collected one hit for the Eagles. Ball and Harris each drove in one run for Bohemia Manor. Cole Metzger led Bohemia Manor with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Harris and Greyson Sizemore each stole multiple bases for the Eagles. Bohemia Manorran wild on the base paths, collecting nine stolen bases for the game. Bohemia Manor turned one double play in the game.
Bachman, the number seven hitter for Tri-State, led the way with two runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Garber went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Tri-State in hits. Brayden Jones led Tri-State with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up six walks for the game.
Bohemia Manor will travel to Patterson Mill Varsity Huskies for their next game on Wednesday.
